Sheep wire fencing: in various sizes at Lands End

Looking for sheep wire? At Lands End you will find a wide range of sheep wire, type Prairie light knotted wire mesh from the brand ArcelorMittal. Prairie light, knotted cow and sheep wire mesh for pasture fencing, is the ideal solution for fencing off pastures. This wire mesh is provided with hard horizontal wires with a tensile strength of 700-900 N/mm² and excellent corrosion resistance thanks to the Crapal coating of zinc and aluminium.

Lands End sheep wire is available in heights from 60cm to 200cm high.

The benefits of sheep wire?

Lands End sheep wire can be used to keep all kinds of small livestock such as sheep and goats in the pasture and is also certainly suitable for creating a fence in the garden or on the yard. The bottom meshes are narrower to prevent sheep from sticking their heads through and also to keep the lambs within the fence. Lands End sheep wire is also available in different heights and a roll of sheep wire is 50 meters long as standard.

Which posts for installing sheep wire?

For placing sheep wire, it is best to use the round pasture posts from Lands End. These posts can be placed every 2.5 meters or 3 meters. For the best result, place the pasture posts for 1/3 part in the ground. At the corners and at the start/end point, it is best to place posts with a diameter of 10-12 cm. For the rest of the required chestnut/robinia posts, posts with a diameter of 8-10 cm are most suitable.

How do you stretch sheep wire?

After the pasture posts have been firmly placed in the ground, you can attach the sheep wire to these posts. To tighten the sheep wire, start by attaching the sheep wire to the start and end posts using staples. Note: really fasten the wire to the post. You also use staples for the rest of the posts, but the wire does not need to be fastened to these. This ensures that the sheep wire is easy to tighten.
